Avacuganda is a youth-led think tank founded in 2022 and formally registered in 2024, based in Lugonjo, Entebbe, Uganda. The movement is driven by passion and commitment, advocating for animal protection, plant-based food systems for people's health, and environmental sustainability. It’s mission focuses on promoting nature-based solutions for climate resilience, defending animals through advocacy, research, and strategic litigation. In 2024, Avacuganda published the research paper "THE LAW AGAINST ANIMALS“, highlighting the weaknesses of the "Prevention of Cruelty Act" in protecting farmed animals, especially hens, during transportation and housing. Based on this research, Avacuganda launched the "FREEDOM FOR HENS" project to protect 43 million hens. Now the NGO connects with leaders from the poultry association of Uganda to support farmers in the policy reform.

Starting in May 2025, 7oceans, in collaboration with "Reefvillage - Creating New Life," will build a new reef in Bali. Following successful projects in the Philippines, another new home for fish and many other marine species will be created. Local dive schools and businesses will be involved in building this habitat. This will not only create a new attraction for divers and snorkelers but also raise awareness of ocean issues. Divers will construct and maintain the reef, which will be handed over to the sea after one year. Small and large compartments will provide shelter for different fish species. Over 100 species have already been spotted in the first Reefvillages. The photo shows the reef in the Philippines, which has been overgrown with soft corals and other corals after just two years.
